Over the years, the Durban Botanic Gardens Trail of Lights has swiftly evolved into a beloved local tradition and one of the city’s most anticipated holiday events. The iconic Durban Botanic Gardens, typically a place of serene natural beauty, is magically transformed into a vibrant kaleidoscope of colours, boasting over a million lights that illuminate the evenings. This dazzling spectacle provides a safe and secure environment for attendees to create enduring memories with their loved ones.

Trail of Lights offers a plethora of entertainment options, a delectable array of food gardens, and a bustling festive market that keeps attendees entertained throughout the evening. A portion of the funds raised during the event goes towards the Trust’s mission of ensuring the maintenance and preservation of the Durban Botanic Gardens for future generations.
